Paper Whore?

So in the early stages of being engaged (wont even say wedding planning, since I wasn't supposed to be planning so early- another time another post I will discuss) but anywho - in the beginning I immediately flocked to paper goods. Don't know why... I just did. I was in search of the perfect Bride thank you note! I started out finding these Bonnie's Style Press Thank You's from http://www.finestationery.com/index.cfm
Sorry still not really good at the link thing :(
I love how she is clutching the wedding magazines with her eyes closed ; ) and I think I really do have that many wedding magazines (prolly to the 3rd power).
So until today I was set on these adorable Thank You notes.
Then June Bug Weddings http://junebugweddings.com/blogs/what_junebug_loves/
Posted these beauties
Pink Sugar Dots created these fierce Thank You cards( I don't know where my "America's Next Top Model" quote came from- i don't even watch Tyra)

But I love them , they are dark and edgy and I have to have them. I am seriously considering hoarding Bride Thank You cards and still using them after I am a Mrs.

Life Size

So this lovely little bride had such a clever idea for her wedding cake. Umm I dont even know what I would do if I showed up at a wedding with an actual replica of the Bride to eat :(
I think these pics speak for themselves...

On a Happier Note

My adorable nieces to be will be walking down the aisle in these fun frocks!
I would wear it - if I could pull it off, sans shirt of course ; )

Trying not to be a downer

So with the horrible fires throughout Southern California, its really hard for me to be chipper with all that is going on. My heart goes out to those affected by the fires and they are in my prayers. Check out this google map that is updated with info about the fires- its seems like all of Southern Ca is burning :(

Anxiety over!

Now that I got over my initial fear of blogging I am ready to dive in head first!!! Yippee!
I guess I will start at the beginning to make more sense- so yes I am getting married, the poodle(yes that is what I called my betrothed) is making an honest women out of me. We got engaged @ 2am on June 7th, 2008 - it was amazing. But I have to confess something that happened right before Poodle popped the question... It pains me to admit this but oh well.
We were in Vegas (arrived early Thursday morn) and Poodle's parents were driving up that night with his sister and brother in law so we were planning on having a late dinner with the bunch. Well at around 10pm I was so restless and just wanted to go to bed- I was in my PJ's and snuggled up in bed as Poodle began to get ready. He gently tried to push me into getting ready but I wasn't having it... its Vegas and we are going to dinner with the fam at 11pm at night! So I rolled (literally) out of bed and made it downstairs to dinner- after a rather large meal and some gambling (his mom loves the slots) we made our way up to our room. Well down the long long corridor my tummy really hurt and I gave Poodle the face :* I usually give when I have to use the LADIES ROOM :( and he just said seriously stop talking, stop talking, stop talking - in the nicest tone. Then I open the door to our hotel room which is covered with rose petals and candles and stopped talking. Here I am talking bathroom talk and he is PROPOSING : )
Surprisingly he still wanted to marry me.... he is a keeper!

Oh the pressure...

So I am feeling a lot of pressure on this 1st post, not going to lie... who I am really kidding though don't think too many peeps will be reading this journalistic piece!

Okay so I am starting off with Tulle gone bad- I think it will be a HAPPY FRIDAY tradition!
